Nickel-chromium alloy wire is nominally composed of nickel and chromium, the chemical composition provides the wire with excellent oxidation resistance and high strength at high temperature, as well as good processability and solderability. So that it is known as resistance heating wire, commonly used as electrical resistance wire for heating elements and resistance windings in industrial machinery and home appliances.
